ERIK PATTERSON, writer for Film & TV
Award-winning writer Erik Patterson has written projects in all genres for Warner Bros., Universal, 20th Century Fox, Disney, Freeform, MTV, Paramount, Hallmark, and Syfy, to name a few.
He recently optioned a thriller called High Tide. Other writing credits include Deep Blue Sea, which was released as a “tent pole” feature during Syfy’s “Shark Week” programming. He also written several romantic comedies for Hallmark, including Love at First Bark, Love on a Limb, Love Under the Stars, and The Christmas Note.
In 2014, he was nominated for his second Emmy Award for Best Writing on R.L. Stine’s The Haunting Hour, which won the Emmy for Outstanding Children’s Series for three consecutive years. He wrote fourteen episodes of The Haunting Hour during its four season run. In 2012, he won the Humanitas Prize for his Disney Channel Original Movie Radio Rebel, and the 2010 WGA Award for Best Children’s Script for the Warner Bros. feature, Another Cinderella Story.
In November 2021, his movies Sister Swap: Christmas in the City and Sister Swap: A Hometown Holiday premiered on Hallmark.
His horror movie Abandoned, starring Emma Roberts, Michael Shannon, and John Gallagher Jr., is now available on VOD.
